Mmmmm pancakes (2006) Pancakes dripping with butter and syrup is my idea of breakfast heaven. I sometimes make them for a special treat at weekends. |

Arctic night (2006) This is a new development for me: combining my interest in textiles with my artistic skills. I created this piece using a mixture of vintage and modern fabrics, beads and buttons. It is part machine-stitched, part hand-stitched. I'm definitely going to experiment some more with this style. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it too. |

Self-portrait (2005) Nobody seems to like this self-portrait except me. I've been told it looks nothing like me. Despite the criticisms, I am still quite attached to it. Self-portraits are always a useful exercise. On this occasion, I was experimenting with using black marker combined with oil pastel. I love the scruffy effect they create together. |

Arighi Bianchi, Macclesfield (1997) This fantastic building was constructed to house the furniture store Arighi Bianchi and was completed in 1892. You can find out more about it at the Arighi Bianchi website. |
